We are beyond excited to announce that gryn and Lune, a supply chain CO₂ intelligence and carbon solutions provider, have merged!

The merger brings together two complementary platforms to address the rapidly growing demand for high-quality, actionable CO₂ intelligence in logistics. Together, gryn and Lune will serve both shippers and logistics service providers (LSPs) with an end-to-end solution, from data collection and industry-leading emissions calculations to insights and actionable decarbonisation strategies.

Building the intelligence layer for sustainable and high-performance supply chains

As regulatory pressure, customer expectations, and cost volatility increase, both corporates and logistics providers are under growing pressure to understand and optimise the impact and cost of their supply chains. Yet fragmented and incomplete data, manual processes, and high-level data continue to limit the usefulness of CO₂ reporting.

By merging, gryn and Lune aim to solve this challenge at its root.

gryn’s platform enables shippers to engage their logistics providers and consolidate shipment data across their supply chain, creating a single source of truth for emissions reporting. Lune’s API integrates directly into logistics service providers, enabling automated CO₂ intelligence at the source with industry-leading granularity and reliability, as well as contributions to high-quality carbon projects.

Together, the combined platform creates full coverage across the logistics ecosystem, enabling network effects where:

  • The more logistics providers integrate, the easier it becomes for shippers to access complete, automated CO₂ intelligence

  • The more shippers participate, the greater the incentive for logistics providers to embed CO₂ intelligence into their workflows

The network and AI-powered intelligence acts as a foundation for not only accurate CO₂ reporting, but also actionable decision-making, from route and modal optimisation to sustainable fuels and high-quality carbon projects, and, over time, broader supply chain optimisation across cost, risk, and performance, always rooted in sustainability.

Strong customer footprint and global reach

Together, the combined company serves over 100 customers and tens of millions of shipments globally, including leading corporates such as AstraZeneca, Puma, and Philip Morris, as well as logistics providers including JAS Worldwide, Flexport, and Forto.

The combined platform is GLEC-accredited and ISO 14083-compliant, ensuring customers can rely on consistent, audit-ready emissions intelligence aligned with global standards.

Existing customers of both companies will experience no / minimal disruption, with a phased transition plan in place to ensure continuity and clarity. Following the merger, the company will gradually move to Lune as the master brand, with gryn continuing as the dedicated solution for shippers.

Leadership continuity and shared vision

Erik Stadigh, CEO of Lune, will continue as CEO of the combined company. Oliver Ritzmann, CEO of gryn, will take on the role of Chief Strategy Officer & MD Germany at Lune, focusing on product strategy and go-to-market acceleration.

“Supply chain decarbonisation requires more than reporting, it requires intelligence that drives real decisions,” said Erik Stadigh, CEO of Lune. “By bringing Lune and gryn together, we are building the intelligence layer that connects shippers and logistics providers, turns fragmented data into insight, and enables measurable impact at scale.”
“gryn was built to help shippers overcome the data barrier in logistics emissions,” said Oliver Ritzmann, Chief Strategy Officer of Lune. “Together with Lune’s deep integration into logistics providers, we can finally move from manual data collection to automated, network-driven CO₂ intelligence, and unlock a new category of supply chain optimisation.”
“Speed wins in this market. Shippers and logistics providers have been forced to cobble together fragmented tools for emissions data. Now they get one platform that handles everything: collection, calculation, insight, action. Faster than either company could deliver alone.” added Roberto Bruggemann, Co-Founder & CTO of Lune.

A shared vision for the future

Vision:

A world where supply chain intelligence is used to drive decarbonisation and performance.

Mission:

To build the intelligence network that connects, decarbonises, and optimises global supply chains.

Looking ahead, the combined platform will expand into simulation and scenario planning, enabling companies to test decarbonisation strategies before implementing them, and progressively extend beyond CO₂ to support holistic supply chain optimisation across sustainability, cost, and risk.

Frequently Asked Questions

What happens to the gryn and Lune brands?

No immediate change today. Both brands will continue to operate in parallel in the near term. Over time, Lune will become the master brand, with gryn continuing as the dedicated solution for shippers. This transition will be phased and clearly communicated, with continuity for customers as the top priority.

Will anything change for customers?

Nothing will change in the near term. Your service continues as it is today. Contracts, pricing, support contacts, and day-to-day operations remain unchanged. As the platforms are integrated over time, customers will gain access to additional capabilities, without any interruption to existing workflows.

What's in it for customers?

Less effort and better outcomes. Customers benefit from cleaner, more consistent CO₂ data that flows across partners, reducing manual requests and rework. Shippers gain a clear, comparable view across logistics providers, while logistics providers can deliver standard compliant CO₂ intelligence without adding operational burden. Over time, this makes it easier to make better decisions on routes, modes, fuels, and overall performance.
